Join the next Passion Dialogues on Saturday, February 16, 2018 at Convergence House of Prayer in Fremont, CA from 10:00AM -2:00PM.
Come out on Feb 16, 2019 for the next PD Event: From #MeToo to Restoration. Julia Pferdehirt, Psychotherapist and Pastor from Because Justice Matters/YWAM SF will walk us through understanding the impact of t harassment, assault and the disenfranchisement of women, as a part of the larger culture of violence with which this nation struggles. This is not about politics as this impacts all spheres of society. We are gathering to develop hearts of compassion before God and one another with the hope of moving that much closer to Unity in the Spirit. Valuing any part of God’s creation in a manner less than how He values it is simply falling short of His Design.
This will follow the usual Passion Dialogue model:
- Building context about the environment that led to the creation of the hashtag, including data about how far we’ve really come in our treatment of women.
- Giving God room to reveal more truth as we clear the decks between ourselves and Him through healing prayer, repentanceand seeking the means for restorationwith ministry teams from Because Justice Matters and YWAM SF.
- Deepening our understanding of what to do tomorrow to be Salt and Light to those struggling with this type of oppression, including “on ramps” for sparking compassion and love towards those in our midst.
If you have or someone you know has a story to the hashtag, this gathering is for you. And you probably know someone with a story. This is the unfortunate truth.
So come out on Feb 16, 2019 and join us as we seek to address this aspect of systemic poverty for the sake of overcoming it. Continental breakfast and lunch will be provided. Tickets are $15 for early bird registration, $20 regular admission and $25 at the door.
Passion Dialogues is a forum for honest, humble, and helpful conversations with the aim of catalyzing these conversations into action. Our dialogues create a safe space to move through these crucial conversations into models of working faith.
